You Had Me in Stitches (warning: stitches picture)

GET IT?! Hahahaha etc.

So I'm sorry, I can't resist showing you guys a stitches picture. If you're faint of heart don't scroll down I guess.

First here's a picture of my dog. I did this so those of you who use Bloglovin wouldn't see the gross picture pop up in your feed forcing you to look at it even if you didn't want to. So if you're grossed out by stitches, you can just pretend this is a nice post about how cute my dog is.

Aaaand here we are:

First off, I'm sorry my hand looks so gross.  I haven't been able to actually wash it in like 3 days...I've been sort of sponge-bathing it with a washcloth but doesn't have the same effect.  Wash your hands, kids.

The doctor said the infection was some sort of staph, but not MRSA thankfully.  Stitches come out next week.

Is this over-sharing or what?

    1. I've only ever had them once before, when I had my kidney removed, and the stitches in that case were some weird ones that actually were on the inside and dissolved over time. As a result the scar on my stomach is hardly visible. Crazy!

  2. this is why i love you. this is why i love you. (in my head that kind of sounds like a kid singing in a 'neener neener neener' esque fashion.)

when i was 14 i had to have 8 of my baby teeth cut out because of my braces. i had to get 10 or so stitches in my mouth. one of my first 'real' meals a week or so later was pizza. i remember looking down and freaking out because i thought there was a worm on my slice, when it was actually just a teeny stitch.

  5. I am interested in your stitches picture. Open, gaping wounds freak me out. Stitches look cool.
Also, fun fact, I've never dated a guy who didn't have an eyebrow scar from a wound which had required stitches.
Fun fact #2: Ryan's eyebrow scar is bigger than all the others'.

    1. So funny you mention that --Rob has a scar on his eyebrow too. When he was a little kid he tripped and hit it against the coffee table (which his parents still have, interestingly). When he read about your correlation he said, "I think all little boys bash their heads against something." haha

    1. Hehe yeah it's not TOO gross. Not like I live-tweeted the surgery or anything (not like I could've, since I was wasted out of my mind). And thanks :)
